Wow I've started early then! We only have so many days on this planet and I won't waste them on tossers. Plenty of appreciative customers about.big plus one here too .. bout the same start point too... or maybe a little earlier for those deserving of it

True words. I’ve got about 8 mortgages riding on me so it’s harder to be too fussy. We try to cull the assholes but sometimes they still find you, especially when you’re a company not an individual, they seem to take pissing you off as a personal challenge . Devoted my life to the bloody trade, and when it comes to plumbing I like to think I’m pretty much at the top of my game for what we do. Somehow the Karen’s seem to get into your head and fester. She’s a Property solicitor telling me I’m too expensive and withholding £500 back from a job I did at short notice to keep her house extension on track and completed with zero issues. Small claims court will be my next step, I’m done writing letters having to justify myself

Trouble with small claims court … (and have been through this a few times both ways) without an agreed contract you are s**t out of luck usually. They force you to mediation first and a solicitor as a defendant is unlikely to let it progress past that pointAct quick, if you can get a ccj against her home you’ll get reimbursed when the sale goes through
I’m hoping when it comes to mediation I can simply say we discussed the job and no quote or estimate was asked so none was given. Won’t make that mistake again!It always seems to be the jobs where you try and help someone out that you get burnt on the worst . bet she's lady muck as well.Get the process started straight away will take 2 or 3 months before being able to apply to the small claims court. It's always a roll of the dice plus it's not any of her business what you paid for materials, you don't have to agree to anything at mediation and it will just go through to the court side, although it will be some feckwitt with zero understanding of building work or costsGot one here.
