Whats the best 3.5t van for a construction firm with a 3k budget? And what are issues youve fount with those. Any advice also welcome

Probably iveco. But will be full of electrical gremlins at that money.
Dashboards in those are like a bloody Christmas tree with the warning lights. 3.5t tow capacity tho.

Probably best to see if you can get a bigger budget... £3k van may well cost you an arm and leg on maintenance and repairs. Tipper or Panel van?

A high miles merc sprinter . You’ll get a medium wheel base 2012 -13 for that money . They go forever so big miles not an issue . Problems will be all emission based, dpf , o2 sensors etc and the rear handbrake will only work once a year , on The day you take it for a test . They are rusty round the body too so be prepared for a bit of a tidy up .

My old trannie 350 wasn't totally crap, however my choice would be an old disco and get jewsons to deliver the big stuff for free.

Haha yes , It reminded me of the convoys and tipper my old man (RIP) used to run. Tough as old boots and utterly s**t in every other way.
