Wasn’t actually working,I assume will expand onto the timber either side?half rigged too -- ferk that![]()
was looking at it and wondering why they'd not rigged it full spread out on to the bigger mats ... assume they may be half way into getting it air borne to get it up there .. jack - pack/crib under wheels - then go again ... would've been easier to have put a run way in the centre to drive up on to -- or just one big matWasn’t actually working,I assume will expand onto the timber either side?
circa 250 tonner ... a lot of the bigger m/cs run with the boom out back on a bogie out there, particularly in the states, to keep the axle loadings down ... some states have insanely low limits
so why can't you get the D-max up there? We have just landed another oil tank job on this same site. Sold my baby spider last year, so will have to try and get the trailer hiab up there. its 50 yards up a track that I cant get Dmax up, so will need pushing up with tracked carrier + ball hitch.
Ball hitch on the Kubota Swivel Dumper would be nice sometimes as a bit more meat on that for pushing a loaded crane trailer (3000kg ish) around.

It’s the old railway line bed, and at the end of the track it’s bollarded off at. Also right on a pedestrian crossing and on traffic lights on a narrow corner. I possibly COULD get it in there but very tight and the tracked carrier with the ball hitch will give me far more ‘wiggle’ room.so why can't you get the D-max up there?

I'm impressed that little tracked carrier will do thatWe have just landed another oil tank job on this same site. It won’t today.. needs new tracks. Mine is rated for 1000kg load and upto 45 degree slope (with less load. The hall hitch used to be on the end which was crap as it was all out of balance so we remade it to carry the weight higher and more centrally. Proportional controlled 24c DC motors , never runs out of grunt.I'm impressed that little tracked carrier will do that![]()

Data sought on AdBlue breakdowns
There are growing concerns that the use of AdBlue is a factor in mobile cranes and trucks breaking down.www.theconstructionindex.co.uk
" Some in the plant hire sector are happy to see the issue being investigated.
Nick Higgins, manager of Monmouthshire-based Raptor Plant, said: “AdBlue faults account for approximately 50% of all machine down time in my fleet of excavators. I run a mix of Hitachi, Case and Komatsu excavators and they all suffer with similar AdBlue issues.
“The cost to my business of repairing AdBlue faults is often significant. The availability of spare parts on the shelf at dealers is patchy. The cost of lost production at sites is equally significant.
“It is a technology which appears to require high levels of cleanliness both in the working environment and during the refuelling process, which is impossible to achieve with an item of construction machinery owing to the dirty and dusty environment and conditions in which they work.
“I have for a long time believed the AdBlue system to be wholly incompatible with construction machinery environments and applications. I’m very pleased the issue is now being looked at as it’s been a thorn in my (and many others) sides for eight or so years. It must cost the industry a colossal amount of money in repairs and lost production.” "
