Hammer flow rate

Hi guys,

Looking for some help to set up the hammer flow rate on my 2012 js145 to run a flail head, I gather you can enter an rpm speed which it defaults to when you press the pedal but the remains of the manual don’t tell me what rpm corresponds to what flow rate and don’t want to damage the motor.

Flail requires 130 Ltrs/min with pressure between 210 and 380 bar.

Your JS145 might struggle to get 130LPM, or at least you will need to be running flat out to get it!

Unless it has a twin pump hammer line, which could be and option

Thanks for that, the online spec says max flow of 2x 124lpm for the pumps, obviously I know the rest of the machine will go off with a fair bit. So you’d think I’d be safe enough just running flat out? Would the max pressure be a concern?

I don't know the exact flow on the hammer circuit on the 145, but your probably looking at between 100-120LPm with the pressure at about 200bar!

Of course the proper thing would be to get the pressure checked and a flow meter on the hammer lines

But if it was my machine id be happy enough to try it based on the specs you give here

Proportional valve perhaps. I done it once on a CAT308 a few years back
