Why does this fall under full hgv rules?

Is it historic or European?

Seems like if you have your 7.5 ton test and say your old trailer test why can’t you tow 3.5 ton.

Would suit a lot of smaller firms and tree lads etc good for business.

Is it lack of lobbying or is there some good reasons why this doesn’t exists?

can only tow 750kgs on the 7.5t rights/license .... need a CE (I think it is) to be able to utilise the full 12t train weight on a 7.5 (or 11t with an over run 3.5t trailer) -- or full C+E

Yes this was the question, why is that?

No me neither time to give anyone who did B+E the 7.5T ticket gratis.

I've said same for years.

3.5t is alot safer sat behind a 7.5t lorry than it is behind a 2t pick up.

Everyone that says you don't realise it's there behind a ranger would really have a shock if they towed with a 7.5t lorry. Anything less and the reality is the tail wags the dog

Ah no.... they're very tight on car tests.... you simply just wont get of with that.
Trailers, Hgvs and helicopters you will never be asked for so you can just plough on.

You can,
You just need higher than average sides, tarmac shoots, and a 0800 number or ask driver for details....

Apparently when you chop a uk licence in for a french licence you get 3.5t towing on 7.5t so c+e... but if you take your hgv your c+e comes back with a restriction of 3.5t limit.

Not so much the application it's the 6 weekly checks, tacho, transport manager unless there is less involved?
Not sure if our yard would get 1 as parking is an absolute nightmare around there these days too.
