My old fashioned view is that a slightly harsher vehicle keeps your driving sharper, especially when towing,it makes for a slightly more professional and safer approach .
We have a Volvo xc90 which is lovely ,very comfortable and quick but I know I have to keep checking myself to stay sharp.

Type of trailer helps… we had a LM146 beaver tail… it was absolutely horrible to tow, wanted to kill you over 40mph!
The ifor GX 105/ 126 on the other hand are a dream!

I agree…. LM Trailers when very heavy always seem to boss the tow trug around more than a good plant trailer. Width and centre of gravity must have something to do with it. My LM105 nearly caught me up a couple of times, had a wobble on once behind the van at 70ish down hill and it shook me up/s**t myself. Served me right for going too quick.

Love my LM146 beavertail, even with the IW rattle! Probably only ever had it up to full weight once or twice mind, with a friends kx71-3 on it 👀

I’ve been thinking about one of these pt65 think they’re 14/16’ tilt deck. To move 3 ton dumpers and tracked dumper on then could have narrower plant trailer as my big Bateson is interesting at 1.86cm in the bed so 7’ outside width. Could get ghx146 triaxle then for 3 ton digger

3 tonner will go on a GH1054BT which is slimmer?

I’ve got one, they are nice trailers, tow really well and have a very low deck height.

The older thwartes 3 ton swivels are wider especially on wider rubber my 2005 only just squeezes into my 1860mm wide plant trailer and my terex 3 ton swivel dumper won’t that goes on the tt3621 but high up
Sorry I thought you meant 3t 360 not dumper.

Was considering swapping my gx126 for a 12ft tipper.. having drop sides for pallets would be handy, along with a tipper & still being able to get 3 ton swivel on the back! Does it fit within the sides? Or does it need to be in flatbed mode?

plant trailer is so much nicer to load onto, especially when you’re parked at an angle half in the hedge. Steel Ramps up into a tipper on the wonk isn’t my idea of fun. Although dumper might be okay on ally ramps, but they are even slippier.

within and the terex does as well , think it’s 6’6” on the tipper internal

They are a great one trailer fits all just bit heavy to start with but can’t beat it for doing every I need it to

Yeahhhh that’s what I need really… love the plant trailer for being so low but it’s a real pain when it comes to fetching pallets , fine if there is a big telehandler to load up over the rear.
