Angus @modelman093 is the man for this question Kev .. it was his game ... not totally sure what I'm looking at there ?? can get the sweeper fingers on Ebay, about 26 quid a set last time i looked

Looks like a nice setup, how do you get on with the toolbox on the back?

I'm thinking about getting a similar truck instead of a panel van next but not sure how I'll manage without the tool carrying space.

You can get bigger toolboxes. I think standard standard are 700mm. I've seen upto 1200mm. Also a company on Facebook doing under bed toolboxes and wedge toolboxes that could go behind the tub. Although all this eats into carrying capacity.

Saying that though you can get a decent amount in them if you put shovels and rakes brooms and the like on the headboard and save the tool pod for power tools

This weeks job, few afternoons over sorting out my 22 post holes ready for concrete on Monday. Never dug post holes before so was an experience. Had a E27Z on demo which was nice , but bucket/hitch geometry not optimum for vertical holes. Reckon I’ve cost myself an extra £600 in concrete by being inaccurate with my hole sizes. Put the big boards done over the intermediate holes to help the lorry in. Rattled a bit of clean stone to cover my budget French drains.

We generally shutter them in bad ground saves on concrete and can set the bolts easier, makes a big difference on 30 odd of them

It depends on what you do, it will never replicate a panel van ,but I have found over the years I have gradually condensed what I need to carry and with a bit of organising and modification you can get a hell of a lot in the box,certainly more than I used to get in a Crew cab pick up with high canopy.Plus you can always add a tool vault on the back if necessary.

To be fair mate I do’nt think any sub 3 tonner will have optimum geometry for square hole digging,I’ve been digging enthusiastically for over 30 years and tidy consistent square holes are a bit of a dark art( occasionaly you get it bang on,best to stop at that one for the day,park up,strut off site and go to the pub!)

Not my job but power lines had been cleared of trees down the road, I’m pretty sure they’d of been better just getting rid of this oak? It’s got a fair lean into the road with no counter balance weight left at all…..! Plus it looks stupid!! @Monkeybusiness ?

We’ve cut loads like that over the years, they never fall down! Had nothing to do with that one though.

End of life IBC tanks make good shutters for post holes. The rotten wooden pallet base ones are ideal ......just cut the bottom out of the bottle and plonk them in

Yes.. they were really decent and dropped it off. I have not put much time on that size machine but have one on my shopping list so working my way through different makes. I found it much nicer than the Case, felt pretty planted and there is still the option of adding a longer dipper and a counterweight while still keeping it legally towable. The cab was a nice place to be
Kubota have longer warranty I think, also want to try a WN.
