Just buy a caravan, pull the axles off and mount it on a RoRo flat bed and your all done.
When you get back it’s a 30second swap to pick digger up straight back to work 😎
Ha ...dont fancy the mpg of the truck - its bad enough when someone else is paying ! it may help fund it though :)

The road at bottom of winnats pass (which we’ve a job on in September) is currently a giant motorhome parking lot despite being a few big sites and a few farmers field jobs for £5-10 a night they’re all parked on rd. some have flower pots outside been their that long

Got this beautiful view and it’s blighted now by a load of diy campers etc

One guy in a orange 7.5 ton box moved around between about 4 spots through the month
Dartmoor NP have really clamped down on campers - for good reason- as with everything a few here and there wouldn't be a problem but when the world comes up here in their campers filling the car parks it's a case of those who come for the view ruin it.
They have marshalls going around at night moving them on. Trouble is alot of them by that stage have had a drink of two or drugs and no state to move on- I believe there's something in if your still in control of a vehicle then should t be drinking in the first place- to be honest because there's so many of them it's put me off camper vans even though I like the sentiment behind them.

Do not start me on the "Vanlife" Blight.

I'm all for off grid living. BUT it's high time that section of modern dross was sorted out. Unproductive slobs who don't give a s**t about the communities they wind up in. They park in roads, laybys and carparks for days when it physically says NO. But it's there entitled right you know...... Worse than gypsys. At least gypsys do

just send plod in and breathalise them ... they are, as said, still in control of the vehicle .. you can be done for sleeping it off in your car, so why not in a camper ... wanna drink - get on a camp site off the road/public car park/public space/layby ... would only need a couple of dozen well publicised prosecutions to put the scotches under all of 'em

Ah yeah. That's I'm another thing thats puts me off caravanning or campers is carrying all the s**t around. Id sooner go wild if conditions allow or perform a hover job in a public toilet worse case.
