U17-3a canopy removal

When I bought my U17, the plan was to sell it on at the end of my building project.

I’ve grown rather attached to it and am thinking of hanging on to it for the medium term. I have a decent sized store with a 1.5 x 2.1m entrance.

How easy is it to remove the canopy on the U17? Presumably a 2 man job?

how bonkers would it be to use the digger for light landscaping (at home) without the canopy? - I don’t really need you to answer this!!

any ideas?

Its a doddle to get them unbolted - i lift mine off with block n tackle or other
digger but a suitable tree branch or something would get it done

4 bolts and 2 guys to lift off.

If you're going to be doing it on the reg you might be better off making the door opening taller.

or dig a hole at the bottom of the door.

On my kx016-4 it’s 4 bolts and I can do it on my own rolled it over the back onto the ifor trailer works a charm

I've done it on my own before with mine but it's a good way to injure yourself.

Few times I lifted the hm100 breaker into the back of the wagon when i was stuck ....that ships fooking sailed mind

Yeah it’s not easy but it’s doable but maybe not for everyone

I can’t make the opening bigger (stone construction). However, I might be able to rig up some sort of hoist/ pulley set up To give me a helping hand.

know that feeling all too well .. could used to carry oxy bottles about on a shoulder - got a job to get the damned things off the deck now
