It's a small Honda engine one been working fine last couple days but just now it conked out as if I turned it off and will start for a split second then stop again drained the fuel bowls anyone any ideas what it could be unless the wet is getting at it ??

What state is the air filter in? Try it without it in place.

It’s what I do!
If the oil is pouring out of the filler, then probably most fuel which has leaked past the float valve while sat, drain it put fresh, the oil alert won’t like thin oil!

I phrased it wrong oil is filled up so it's just about trickling out as the screw lid isn't actually a dipstick for level and oil should be on these engines like a diff or gearbox filler bung filled up till running out the filler

Does it have spark? Does it have compression (and air), does it have fuel. The first and last can be determined by checking with the spark plug assuming the plug is good. And check the air filter as others have suggested. It only needs these three things to work.
