I was very close to buying one 7 years ago but got messed about by dealer so I'm now gonna say a big thank you to them for that,so thank you hossplant.had a hire one yesterday and first time I've ever used one.was not very old either.it was simply horrible.felt huge and very clumsy and not at all smooth as most kubotas are.really seemed to lack power to which suprised me too.makes me realise how brilliant my Volvo is.I'm not a takeuchi fan either but use these machines a lot and they are streets ahead of the above.rant over

U27 aren’t odd ball machines? Pretty sure a dealer could pull one from the stock yard no problem, although Nick did mention the dealer was useless so probably not!

Generally dealers are very good at getting you in a seat of a machine, I’ve been taken to factories or customers sites etc to try specific machines that aren’t on a demo fleet.

Yeah fair enough. I wasn't really meaning that u27 itself was oddball but that just in general an owner op might tend to go for a higher spec model that isn't the run of the mill stuff sitting around in a dealers yard. But your right a decent dealer would set you up in another customers machine.
