Mini crushers?

I'm sure there has been some threads about these but nothing comes up on the search.
I think there is one on the island, what are the narrow <900mm wide ones like?
Can you use crushed hard-core as type one to go under paving?
Would you need to blind it with type one?
I've got a job with very little space out the front for skips or grab.

Did you go over the top with type one or just use the hardcore as sub-base?

Type 1 is too coarse to blind with. Fed right the crusher will produce stuff a similar grade to type 1 but without so many fines. So can be a pain to get to bind. You wouldn't want to use it to lay a gravel drive on, for instance. We were laying with a screed of sharp sand/cement and it was perfect.

I'd agree but that's £100 per bulk bag here and will be way more or unobtanium on the IoW!
last bag of 20 to dust I had was late '21 - £34 a bag delivered

You live much nearer hard stone than us!

Only limestone or granite we get in bulk is brought in by railway. Still expensive. Anything odd will be haulage direct from quarry so mega money.
