What's the best quality machine in terms of fit and finish would we say- I'm not expecting a conclusive answer of course Taking into consideration paint job, quality of assembly etc, wear rate?

I've looked at Volvo and Wacker recently and liked what I see, but not sure whether operating experience matches

Like a stuck record im going to bite and say Wacker Neuson, if the et90 and et65 are anything to go by then they take some beating - the et65 is a very well designed and put together machine and the driving expérience matches, beats hands down anything ive had.

The grey paint is a bit like jcb black though ...but not as bad.

I'd love to know how much that machine has cost him per hour! Must be a European thing- Ive seen quite a few from Austria/Germany on Mascus with those kind of hours. I feel their nature being fairly fastidious straight laced kind of people with a penchant for fussiness tends to lend itself towards getting a lot of hours out of a machine.

Has anyone had a go on a Yanmar SV19vt? Nice specced machines. Only thing that looks a bit naff to me is the tracks. Look like the ones of small tracked dumpers- big gaps between the lugs which looks liable to come off easily

Decent size engine though for it's size- in fact same size as many 2.8tonners are now running.

Also extra bolt on counterweights, long blade option, track pedals, offset and aux on the joysticks...

Pretty sure they share the same cab from the smallest up to about 3 ton not sure if that's on the zero swing though

I bought one last June, as had a few holes to dig. Overall very pleased with it. Cab size is fine for me as I'm only 6'3". My only criticism is that the cab rotation is not very smooth. All the other controls are delightful though. The foot controls are not used much as I find them awkward with my big feet. Hydraulic quick-hitch is fitted, but the jerky movement of cab rotation is challenging to line up to change the buckets. Not lost a track yet either.
My views are entirely of a none-professional sort.

When you say the slew is not smooth- do you mean there seems to be quite a bit of side to side movement, so when you stop slewing it overuns slightly?
