that looks like it fun - NOT

It has been oddly fun, bought at a really sensible price and as it's a van not a car still in my comfort zone to work on. Good excuse (and a condition on her acquiring it) for me to get VCDS & start to get to grips with these new fangled electronic brain thingies.
Recent service history suggests sporadic coolant loss and its only now when it became permanent that it emerged that the cam belt/water pump kit only involves sticking a sticker and ticking boxes, all the actual parts were the originals

Not going to happen, there was enough tolerance that the pool fits inside even with the posts leaning. The groundworkers that did it put 20mm stone around the posts rather than concrete so no wonder they all shifted. As i said earlier s**t show, all we can do is advise on “what we would do” but ultimately have no control on it. They’ve tried to do it cheap and ended up well up the creek.

This afternoons job, watching these blokes assemble some sort of canopy for an event No barriers, hi-vis, hard hats or safety briefings! Oh, and lifting jib added to scaff tower

The monthly shuffling of things on pallets was overdue, got an engine sold though so that's one lump gone
Got the flail mower down from its shelf and on, knocked a couple of strips of grass down and confirmed that new belts are needed so got them ordered.
Finished up a couple of wooden frames, emptied the van, dug out a hand throttle to try and fit to the chipper tomorrow. Nice afternoon really

Little 40's tractor will start by putting gear selector forward - goes into all gears but kinda offers to creep but wont - will go into gear without clutch without too much complaint......any ideas folks ?

Its a mates...haven't had a proper look but doesn't seem to be any adjustment thats obvious.

There is adjustment on the clutch fingers inside the bell housing, through a small cover on the bottom, but you`ll need double jointed baby sized hands, and eyes on storks to work in there Check the pedal free play, you only want about 3/8"play between the pedal and the foot peg stop above it. to adjust it slacken the bolt on the pedal to the cross shaft, turn the cross shaft so its just coming against the release bearing, then back it off a tiny bit, clamp the clutch pedal and check free play.

Pretty impressive stuff for the backfill - very light and is only approx 20% heavier when saturated in water with no volume change but drains easy, bags are a bit of a faff but have a handy chute on the bottom the you can pull cord on and then control flow. 6t felt a bit tippy over the top as could only stay side on so we took a bit out of them by hand first.
Tilty handy for soiling up.

Bags a bit high for the shackle but we had a nice elf and safety answer.

Thats it till autumn, when its finish final level with a rocks and a boules pitch.
