Never that easy .... I tried.

There is a business going soon, with order books for a year, workshop/machines/truck.... even fit someone up with a nice little rental house not far from yard to see how it went

Id have to be dragged back there kicking and screaming !!
It would be great opportunity for someone, not to have to put in all the initial graft involved getting going over here, in fact with brexit its not got any easier either.
I could ease out over next few years

I know the big firms who hire in a lot of plant get much better rates but thats the best I can do...hence only hire in as a last resort.

I know we are paying around the £200 a week mark for mini's very little in it between sizes.

And the weirdest thing I think is how they allow themselves to be used as free credit. Most firms I know run up to the credit limit pretty quick then pay off the bare minimum to keep the account rolling over until they get paid as it is essentially interest free. Hell of a lot cheaper than borrowing the money to pay the hire charges on time.

Few weeks ago I was offered a 1.5t mini and a 1t dumper for £150 a week. Round here that's representive of the rates you can put machinery out with a driver.

Crazy difference on the face of it but hard to compare in reality - charges/taxes etc ....everything evens out, nobody is getting rich quick over here either

£120 a week with insurance!! Is what I get a 90 roller at!!
