That's a step forward in my book.now this is some piece of kit..... God knows what it must've cost, but WOW!!
.. wanna be working 24/7 for this level of investment
That's a step forward in my book.
But you still have to get out in the rain and throw your straps over![]()
ain't he justDidnt get a clearer picture but this guy had some load on
WOW !!!!Nope they strap themselves down cant find video now but at the flick of a switch the bolsters extend two arms flick over the load then the bolsters retract and as they retract the two bars over the top hook into eachother
You want to get to the APF show later this month for a look if that sort of stuff floats your boat - the kit on show and working there is amazing!
I thought one of the prerequisites for a tractor to be allowed to do more than 20mph legally was a physical connection between the steering wheel and the wheels (not just hydraulic steering) - surely that must be the same for road-going lorries too?
If I had to guess I would say that was in the fens somewhere as often see loads like that round there almost a if it fits I shift it mentality lolDidnt get a clearer picture but this guy had some load on
s**t the bedThis is one of our wide spread machines. Its a wee bit wide on a single track road.View attachment 1092View attachment 1093
can't begin to imagine the cost of that set up ... or the complexity of keeping it functional/repairing itHere you go

reckon DVSA or plod'd take some serious convincing that the traccy hanging off the arse end, by the cleats on its boots, constituted a safe loadain't he just![]()

and yet it's still cheaper to buy timber out the docks than from home producersThere is another video linked to that one where the whole crame is covered in cameras and is operated from the pasenger seat via a virtual reality headset between these setups the one above and some of the chipper trucks ive seen i think it must be fair to say timber in Scandinavian countries must be a more profitable industry than here
We're was that at? I think there was a new plant built above glynneath a few years ago too.and yet it's still cheaper to buy timber out the docks than from home producers..... by a lot, in some cases.
there was a brand new 'board plant' built not far from here, up the valleys, with HUGE grant funding ..... was 1/3rd of a mile long .. wood and chips in one end .. board product out the other ... was run for one test run and never ran again....
product at the docks was 30% of the cost of what they were going to produce.
God only knows what the cost of it all was to the Welsh tax payer ... no jobs .... no factory ... all gone now.
I had two cranes in there 7 days a week, erecting steel when they were building it![]()
Rassau I. E., Ebbwvale Aiden .... bloody scandalousWe're was that at? I think there was a new plant built above glynneath a few years ago too.
