Came up with a foolproof plan for any surplus funds years ago,get married and make some daughters,I guarantee you will never have to ponder over this dilemma again and if by some chance you do find a little extra in the pot do’nt worry all the tricky decision making will be quickly and painlessly taken away leaving your mind clear to keep digging endless holes in the earth .Sorted!

They won 140k on premium bonds in 4 years?! 🤯🤯🤯
yep - pretty remarkable
I don’t believe it either.
I've known the guy well for over 40 years .. he's a friend I trust and he'd not lie to me ...
we were discussing where to 'park' funds one day and he suggested them to me and extolled his/their excellent record of luck ...
as said, not seen Dave in a while to see if their 'rinse and repeat' tactics had borne any more 'fruit', but it made a significant contribution to his retirement plans.
biggest win was 30 odd £k in one hit, but was getting regular smaller wins for month after month, 'til it abruptly stopped, with the first £30k's -worth, so he pulled it , waited and went again ....
the second 'round' wasn't as successful as the first effort, but still brought in decent rewards for a while ..
believe what you will, but I have no reason to question his honesty with me ..
Dave is as straight as they come

Someone’s gotta win the big prizes I guess!

I opened a prize win(when they got posted) from a old Tennant who’d be dead 20 odd years, only £5 invested and they won £25 so similar odds I guess 🤣

I have a cousin who emigrated to NZ with his brother (parents followed them some time later) ... so he made my mother his 'rep.' in the UK, for his bonds.
shortly after mother died, he won several hundred quid on them ... and again a few weeks later, over a grand. I had a hell of a job dealing with 'his' wins and getting the monies to him.
he only had about 50 quids-worth, but struck lucky - twice

Parents bought me £5 worth in 1962. Never won a penny. I was in a lottery syndicate at work. After a couple of years the organiser pulled out of it just after buying a brand new Freelander. Not that I had any suspicions or anything.

Got a bit in premium bonds, never won a penny 🤦🏻‍♂️ Since selling my house last year I’m kind of in a similar position with what to do with it, as I don’t fancy losing my life to do another then get taxed for the privilege when I sell it on! I fancy adding a 1.5t to my collection but could do with finding one vat-free.

I still have £43 in my post office savings ...but lost my book :(
That's reminds me . A great aunt set up something when I was young. This it was called national savings or something. Anyway got £5k when I turned 21 which I pretty much started my buisness with. Would like to do something similar for my daughter- perhaps stocks and shares ISA would be best for that now.
