I can get the bobcat with 5y warranty, it may be the best option for me. I was hoping some of you already had experience with the new jcb machine.

I bought a 21 bobcat e10z and the couple of warranty issues I had were sorted. I'd not hesitate to buy another.

Wacker Neuson have a new one out thats worth a look..... @Thomas7740 has one think. I like how they build their machines.

Decent local dealer is part of the equation.

Yup, very pleased with it. Very fast and smooth, like very fast. It’s a better digger all round compared to the outgoing model, and the old one is a really good machine.

I had a price from M&M plant for one of these . Don’t quote me but sure it was similar money to the Case , and Bobcat. £32k ish in early 2024.

That doesn't sound too bad to be fair. I had a price for one Jan 2023 and it was £32k if I remeber right. Hyd hitch. One set of aux lines etc

I have 2 dealers nearby so I'm probably gonna choose between bobcat and caterpillar. What's your pick between bobcat e27 and cat 302.7cr? I need it formy landscaping business, so mostly making driveways, terraces, paths, cleaning terrains etc.

I tried both and stuck with the bobcat. Don’t get me wrong, the cat was nice. Silky smooth to grade with. But it wouldn’t multitask whilst tracking, and for my work that’s essential. I’m always rotating and opening/closing the grab whilst moving the arm whilst tracking in high speed. Bobcat will do all that, cat won’t.

Was your previous bobcat still working smooth at the end? It is a pretty big investment on top of others for me so I want the machine to be as durable as possible. Ofcourse with proper maintenance.

I was very impressed at the lack of wear after 2000 hours (especially as it was all rough grab work) but it had been meticulously maintained.

Only needed a slight bit of fabrication work, nothing major at all

Very pleased with mine, about 1600 hrs on it now, very stable and lifts well, well put together, had a few Volvo’s/Pel jobs this size over the years with very few problems, only real criticism of the ec27d would be the gauge panel could do with updating and moving out from under your right elbow! And tracking could do with a bit more grunt when turning.
Bobcat probably has the edge with the larger engine/pump output if you need to multi task as @doobin does timber handling

Look at the Wacker Neuson ET24. My dad has one and I'm super impressed with it. It comfortably runs 3 ton buckets and has plenty of power- slightly lacking rear end weight to match it's lifting capacity but at 2.4ton its a great size for towing around with all the buckets and attachments you might need and the undercarriage is a proper X frame job with good ground clearance etc

I’ve thought about them, good weigh to tow with a Tiltrotator fitted, bit surprised it lacks weight at the rear, appears to have a lot of tailswing.

It's not really a problem. It's still pretty capable. But when trying to lift the biggest thing the hydraulics can handle it was best done with blade at the front! Even though it has a good tailswing it is smaller bodied than a proper 2.8ton machine-. You can adjust the flow of the aux too which is a nice little feature, float blade etc. I know they could be considered a bit of a halfway house machine but my TB228 on a trailer with buckets and a grab is about 3.8ton (I take the digger bare on the trailer mostly and buckets with dumper) so really think the Wacker has something to offer for those doing alot of transporting/jobbing work but want more than a 1.8t/2t size

One of my customers selling his Hi-Spec Kubota for 37K+vat with 300ish hours. 2022 model I think. Air Con. Devon based. Doesn't seem dear in my limited opinion. Sadly I don't have 37K! I'm sure a new one must be £50K ish?
