I'd say that was the plan Rob, but surely with them stacked against the house it'd allow the blast an exit route into the house wall ? .... you'd want more than a spade and a fork to dig that garden, eh?

Those mats lift to vent the gas from the blast but prevent the debris from flying up into the air. If the charges are deep enough in the rock you don’t get much if anything coming out of the sides.

Some very lucky lorrys made it with seconds to spare. Couldn't see any cars in the section that fell on the video.. but holy crap can you imagine seeing that in your mirrors when you're still on the bridge...there's some footage of it showing what looks to be either engine failure or a "reboot" as all the lights go out and then there is a large amount of smoke as they try to repower and reverse
