Currently have a couple of Thwaites 1t high tip dumpers. Thinking of selling both and just having one newer machine. Are they comparable or is general thought that thwaites are a proven model to stick with?

Are they both 1t? Seems to be a fair height difference in them or is it just tires

Are they really giving you that much hassle?

Worst case one breaks down and you have a backup machine. Best case you can have a driver on each and get done quicker where the job allows it.
Yep, I'd rather have 2 older dumpers than 1 new one. Assuming they're fit for work of course

Both fit for work but getting on now. One goes out on hire to a trusted friend occasionally but apart from that no frontline work. My thought was more to free up some space and have something a bit tidier.

I’m all for having one new machine over two old ones, can always hire in a second as and when required, just put it on the job and make £20 for the hassle of a phone call.
