First outing for the disco in months, and it was 100% needed. Winching down 30+ foot of failed poplar top. No pictures of that part as my phone was in the truck and it was ridiculously tight getting in and out the truck!
Once it was safely down, all change and winch the chipper in, spin round, reverse over slippery bund, hitch up, chip away...
Chipper really isn't ready for work- needs a proper battery that actually fits the hole, choke and throttle levers but needs must- guy I was working for has a tracked chipper, but it was 600 miles away at his house north of Inverness 😆 🤣

An easy job made an absolute nightmare by people who do not have a clue what they are supplying. 2 aborted visits and today not much better. Rescued by a different company today excellent service with a guy who was so helpful and Knowledgeable.
The original company sent wrong fusion welder out yesterday ready for today, then told me I needed 2 different ones as they supplied 2 different welders. Original quote £50 a week new 1 £420 a week £50 del plus cost of original 1!!!
Other company 1 welder 120 a week.
No wonder country is f***ed

Yesterday's fun and games- brake cables on the big plant trailer, towing the quad into the barn before attempting- and failing- to get it working.
Specialist car dealer on the farm has this lovely Lotus in😍 I'm not really keen on cars, far too low, I like to climb in and fall out 😆 but every so often he has something so nice in I have to take a picture 👍

If you can’t beat em join em….

All legit. Off to repair a barn my forestry contractor mate uses for storing woodchip. He brought his trailer down, this will save me a few trips up a nasty hill.
