Thing that gets me is MPs have just upped there legal protection and security protection.

Why? If they are doing there job for the majority there is nothing to fear.

High time we rented a guillotine off the french.

Mmmm to be fair Muslim mob have been threatening all sorts
Difficult as I see where you coming from but tbh the jihad nutjobs are more serious threat
At the start of Gaza saga allthe local mosques sent a letter to every local MP and councillor stating they would loose the Muslim vote if they didn't vote for ceasefire. Fact I've seen it.
Tell me that's not questionable

My brother lives on the same road from Tobias Ellwood. He said a week or two ago there was a big gathering of protestors outside his house about the Gaza saga, it went on untill late at night and quite rowdy. As an MP your certainly not going to please everyone and being so much in the public eye/easiest to blame probably on the recieving end of any discontent.

Did your brother not join them and offer items such as timber and rope to assist them?.

In All blatant honesty I've reached the conclusion that the entire lot of them are corrupt self serving bastards that want ousting..... None of them are capable of keeping there promises or pledges and all of them simply appeal to whichever group of masses look most likely to keep them in power. And increasingly it's looking like the only way it's likely to change would be a stint of le guillotine.....

Genuine question as feel similar.
What's the solution.
we are all intelligent enough to know the history and that the system of Government we have in the west is what has made makes us different from the sh*tholes in the east...

The trouble is there are no repercussions really for any empty promises/lies whatever, I think there should be some form of accountability for not being able to carry out your mandate for which you were voted in for, I have no idea how that could even be done BTW but it's all such short term thinking and has become so baseless that I think the majority have just lost interest/respect for the current offerings we will have come the next general election.

probably using radius from base as excuse :rolleyes:

Don't think they need an excuse, it's already accepted that the promotion of agriculture is a legitimate use of duty rebated fuel ............ though I suspect that the authorities had the County Show in mind 😁

I was amused to hear that our P.M. has concerns that we are subject to mob rule, hadn't even realised he knew what his government was up to 🤣

The government is led by civil servants, by what I can see they come up with a lot of the bs we deal with, but they don't seem to have to answer for any cock ups.
