weighbridge deck plates ?? 'kin heavy if they were :oops:
Nope. 3m x 2.5m x 40mm plastic ground boards. 300kg each. Apparantly £1000 each new? Will use 3 of them for pratting around with the new shed build over the next year or so, to help keep things up out of the mud in strategic locations. One of them I will cut into 1m x 2.5 strips for going out on little jobs that need something heavier than my floppy 12mm boards.

many years ago they filmed an episode of casualty just outside Aber ... were told the field they'd set up their BIG man lift/cherry picker in was not suitable, without a hell of a lot more mats than they put down for the jacks ... sadly one man died when it took a lie down with about 100ft of arm up ... went to look at uprighting it with a crane but declined to get bogged .... went over 'cos the two R/H/S riggers simply sank into the alluvial flood mud from the river 30 ft away -- they were told
Somewhat ironic set of circumstances 😕

Rocked up to new job,

Old walled garden will be cleared for you to use as a compound….. erm no it hasn’t so day 1 make some room.

Hire machine bucket has cutting edge worn back to bucket so edge is like 80mm thick useless so getting my 5 ton bucket from yard in morning.

Made a make shift brush with grab, playing at being an “arb digger” lol

That bucket looks to have been made that way........
.. one way to discourage hirers from just using the "biggest" Bucket for everything 🤔😅

That’s a decent old walled garden!! 👌🏻

Have they just kept adding wear edges to that bucket 😂 at least it’s straight..
It’d be great at cleaning up on grass etc but I need to finely peel self binding gravel off 1200m2 paths.

Yeah it’s lovely and full renovation of it being talked of in future.

Yesterday’s job was putting some agri spec footings in for a small retaining wall ready for the slab for my container workshop. Been a very long time since I worked on footings. Probably over 20 years of plumbing since then .

So we are doing a tank above grd that is having fusion weld pipe.
Absolute ballache ½ order turned up then discovered part of other ½ del few days earlier. Went back Wednesday to dry fit it all and valve not there. Eventually found valve 90mm bore we ordered, this turned up 300mm ffs!
So far 2 days lost due to idiots, had confirmation after dinner yesterday new valve not in stock in uk so shipping from Switzerland 1 to 3 days. Had a phone call this morning from my neighbour at yard, valve turned up less than 24 hr from Switzerland!
