Some blokes get so funny about their hair. And clothes tbh. The company buys them boots yet regularly find them wondering round the very muddy yard in Nike trainers
and they should've been offed, 'til they wear the correct footwear supplied.
Once had a factory inspector walk in my workshop in his hush puppies and dark suit ...
wheeled him round and back out the door and asked him to get his toe caps, hi-viz, ear protection, eye protection, gloves and hard hat from his car, if he wanted to come back in .... didn't have them, so was asked to leave and only return when he did ;)
came back about a year later, with a trainee ... same scenario, for the both of 'em ..... they left ... pathetic trying to lay down the rules when they couldn't even comply themselves

It's not so much they need ppe, it's not a site. The yard is just a car park but ends up really muddy this time of year and I cannot fathom why they trash expensive trainers when the company pays for there boots.
