Had united utilities out to site yesterday, they wanted to check the top water was split from the foul, fair enough.
Showed them the last foul manhole on site, Weren’t interested in that.. dyed all the gullies then camera down the last rainwater m/h as way of checking. Fella said yeah you should see the camera going out of the pipe into the rubble(soakaway)
now my common sense said to me just pull the last foul m/h and check no dye was going into the foul job done, or am I being too simple

Running repairs to the e27. Slight cracks each side of the track frame. It’s a stress point on all diggers and more so when lifting and swinging timber about.

Every so slightly concave on the neighbouring metal so though it best to add a plate after grinding out and welding the root.

To me that's a weak design. Been looking at my Tak this morning to make sure it's not doing the same but the design where the plate carries right down seems alot stronger.

Not what I had planned for the clamshells first job but it sure made it easy. Just to make access for a lorry for building works. Easy mornings work for the two of us. Had a free tip locally so maybe £700 after wages and diesel. Just goes to show how the right tools and skills speed up even the simplest of jobs.

The wall put up a lot more fight that I had anticipated, I was glad to have packed the little breaker. Faced engineering bricks- done right! Was very impressed when I found the grip strength of the clamsheel sufficient to pluck the bottom course off one by one.

Another bugger-all-access job- our bread and butter! Moving every five minutes for another fking dog walker car. Now to relax and wait for my new tractor to turn up...

Wednesday and Thursdays job- loving my bucket brush! Check the lines by the hedge in the finished photo. Really cleans up well. And is brilliant for clearing off stump grindings to let you see where to put the cutter.

Yup, those jobs were both Haslemere, 100 yards apart.

This chipper has sat in shed for years because its old and not what we do anymore because it was labour intensive and not much fun but with this new 6t tiltrotator gripper / tmk shear setup we have has got has me thinking it might not be so bad a job every now and then inbetween bread and butter
How much of a tracked chipper do I need that can handle being fed with the digger ?
