I had done a lot of work on the continent in the past and mini tower cranes seemed the thing. At the time we were still at the traditional rough terain forklift (pre telehandlers) or 3CX fork stage. I thought a lot about buying a few 3.5t towable mini tower cranes to rent out, but luckily my current business took off. Still think they would be good for single house builds, especially if going SIPPS route.
There were a cpl at plantworx looked ok too
even back in the early '70,s when I had my first experiences of Eu touring holidays as a kid/young teenager, with my parents, those little self erectors were every where .. single house builds/chalets/small dev.s of 4 or 5 flats ...
full stick and superlift rigged with zero ballast attached BTLs ...... the stress on the chassis must've been IMMENSE ... no wonder it broke ..... total operator **** upwtf chinesium at its best

those cranes were an erectors dream ... fast, loads of reach, smooth and comfortable for the operator, so they were usually content to be sat theretop guys.
As in they intercepted a lost Amazon driver and brought our parcel up to us.. 10/10 service

question is .... are they on hire from the Dutch company or have they been bought/brought in and not registered in UK ... used to happen a lot - I know of one bloke had a few foreign reg cranes that he'd had here a loooong time and ran them on the foreign plates
Good stuff I'm sick of that...a fair few polish cars round here that deffo been about more than 6 months..bet they rack up all sorts of tickets. Takes the piss...and yet iirc over in EU you screw up it's game over el rapido...cash at roadside or it's a uncomfortable hotel
as said ....... claiming to have registered it, so why was it not wearing its plates and taxed ? ..... as for the red one ... should still have been taxed either in Holland, or re-reg. here and taxed .....whoops:

the tax issue is the tip of the iceberg really ... import duty will be the main reason it's not been reg. ...... or declare'd, be my opinion - plus all the paperwork, type approval, testing, etc., etc. ... VED is circa 150 quid
