not so much about what's in front of it. it's what's around it that usually comes back at you ... done a fair bit of lancing meself and s**t is hot when it comes back at you .... silver suit job realistically to be safe

We bought a lab last year for £500 (the most I’ve ever paid for any animal) - he’s got a great pedigree etc, loads of field trial champions in his lineage (not that that bothers me one bit - he was the right dog at the right time and is growing into a real cracker).
A lad at work recently bought a cocker spaniel crossed with a poodle or something (basically a mongrel) and it was £1500! I was crying when I heard!
My rat-dog is coming up to 16 years old now and was £150 from a hill farm near Caernarfon - he’s paid for himself many times over in stud fees. He’s my best friend in the world and is going strong, but it will be sad times at some point in the future obviously....

My best friend was a reformed Border Collie that was fully trained. Got her from when an elderly relative of a forum friend died. Went to Leeds to meet her and she was stressed out as couldn’t cope with being kennelled with other dogs. The wife wanted me to sleep on it. Decided to say yes and friends brought her down a week later. She is terrible when anyone is shooting and she ran several times. Eventually she learned to run back to our door!! I had never worked a sheep dog before so I went on a course. The trainer offered me £1500 for her. The wife could never understand why I kept her!! She is now 12 years old and no longer the sheep gatherer she was due to eye site and selective deafness. Not sure how much longer I have her but she will be very hard to replace!

Enough of this teary eyed furry friend bullshit - how’s the new truck coming on, and where are the pics of you finding out what it can (or more interestingly, can’t) pick up?!

Very very Sad

It’s got porous liners:cry: so having major surgery:oops:head off and pressure tested same with the oil cooler and 6 new pistons & liners but to be fair it’s done1.1 million km which I was aware of, so as long as the bill comes in under £6k I’ll be happy and will still be a cheap motor

Looks like expanding foam. You can't be happy spending 7k when you wanted it to be 6k😁

We got two 40 yard skips in full of ‘empty’ cylinders but they stink and that powdery stuff burns a treat👍
