Just seems to be the way for us as country. Cutting all levels of self sufficiency in the name of something else. Be it farming, power, timber suplie, manufacturing- I'm not sure what the point of us is going to be before long
It strikes me that we are currently going through the Industrial Revolution in reverse. I dread to think where we will be in 20 years time.

Tak + tree shear + those thin concrete supports...could have been video of the year if you could run fast 😎
Apparently they cut some of those supports away and had a 6 tonner in the ponds below the towers removing what are essentially plastic mezzanine floors (I guess they are designed to help the water vapour condense) before demolition to prevent cross-contamination. No way would I want to be anywhere near that job, the towers were absolutely knackered (you could see daylight through them in loads of places)!

Sacked off the planed foundation dig this week. Came home and faded around cleaning the 120 roller ready to go out on Thursday. Now have the battery light permanently on.
Where is the alternator on a Terex Benford Tv1200. I am guessing it is high up behind the ducting for the air inlet?

The great garden room build, yesterday in the wet and cold tree surgeoning before starting build. We opened up the stream and cut 20’ off hollies behind.(before pic from field behind, not my fence!)

Today started using up the old concrete shutters we’ve had in barn for a while, had my joinery hat on. Mrs wants a window in back to stream but might have to disguise opening until after sign off lol or go full planning route not pd.

do you not have to be 3m from boundaries Giles? ..
and max 2.5m on mono pitch - 4m on dual pitch ..
pretty sure that's the PD round here with a max 30m2 footprint per unit, with no interconnecting structures .....
oh and no toilet either.
unless it's changed in the last couple of years
interesting use of shuttering for the panels

no you don't,

in England anyway its uptown 50% of your garden, within 2m of boundary limited to 2.5m total height but its measured from the highest adjacent ground. which is giving me an extra 400mm

if within 1m of boundary has to be 30 min fire resistant cladding , im 110mm

over 30m2 it has to have building regs, so im building mine with building regs

can't be a bedroom,

shutters only used once so saved a lot in time building walls and cost, need to build a box section goal post for the 4m bifolds

got 3 walls up today

Now looks like this. Gonna dig out and lay type 1 then Hoggin back and front plus new fence.

How can a loader fail to add to the bottom line on jobs like this??? Although the grab is the star of the show for clearance.
