How many in here have ever been
pulled over and how often? Be an interesting survey
not for ten years or more -- pulled 'cos the trailer lights weren't working properly/intermittently - new plug days before and a little wobble in the socket cured the issue - hadn't got it quite far enough in on the stiff new brass pins

..
'fore that - the '80s probably, by an officious little knob, who'd followed me for a good mile and pulled across the back of my vehicle, outside my parents house, as I was reversing onto their drive way ....
real dangerous manoeuvre

I'm out of my vehicle 'fore he is
" your vehicle?"
"yes"
"
have you been drinking this evening? "
"All evening"
"would you be prepared to take a breath test?"
.. "no problem at all" .....
blew into the old Lion Alchometer and all green -- (been drinking soft drinks, as always, if driving)
"you said you'd been drinking all evening"
"you didn't ask me what I'd been drinking .. now perhaps you would like to explain to me just why you blocked my path, in such a dangerous manner, as I was reversing into my parents home?" .....
at this point my old man appeared in the back door way in full regalia, off to a night shift
"Problem Gra?"
"Nah, this officer is about to give me his warrant number and a viable reason as to why he stopped me, with no good cause"
he couldn't give me a viable cause for a stop - vehicle was A1 and I had his warrant number and his duty inspectors name.

Probably spent the next couple of weeks waiting for the call to the office
Had his attitude been less aggressive/more polite, so would mine have been ...
new to the town, which was why I didn't know him (and he didn't know me) .. after a few inquiries, he was universally detested in his previous posting and fast gaining ground in his new one

don't take sh1t, if you'm in the right. They really don't know it all (usually) particularly the 'town troops'
got an even better one too
