C1E3.5 tow as well could you drive it on rd towing or need a c + e?
Yes and no....So could I have a lorry and drive it between my 2 sites (empty) on my B+E with no O-Licence ?
Deep breath ..Yes and no....
Works trucks tax group covers items of equipment that have been built as works trucks and are explicitly not tractors or lorries that have had there tax group changed. So the likes of airport tugs, dumpers, forklifts etc.
The B license thing is dependent on weight and drivers age (18 for plant under 7.5t, 21 for over).
.A lorry can't be taxed as a works truck.
However a lorry can be run without O license and driven up to (I believe 10 miles) between a construction contractors premises or sites laden or unladen......

Just be bumbling on back lanes round here ..
Been meaning to trawl through classic and historic reenactment stuff to try and find a route..

Recovery was where my mind was at...I don't think you could run it b +e but a few round here have lorries registered as recovery to circumvent the rules. There are also a pair of Iveco 4x4 ex pole lorries registered as tractors running around for forestry firms
Do your test?Recovery was where my mind was at...
And before anyone goes daft it's all theoretical...exploring options.
Doesn’t something classed as recovery just reduce the tax cost, still requires hgv license
Stop been so practicalDo your test?
Had it on good authority...the 100k radius doesn't apply to much either... especially if you are on the cop contractNo o licence, and can run without 6 weeklies and mot in some circumstances

How many in here have ever been pulled over and how often? Be an interesting surveyThe reality is in this country not a lot applies. If you happen to be a gambling man the chances of being pulled over are pretty slim especially if the vehicle is taxed insured and looks ok.
I never get these plonkers on the TV shows that get pulled over for being a div and turns out they have no license or insurance. Surely it's common sense to only break one rule at a time
zero carrying of anything other than vehicle related ... insurance would also be interesting to get without some form of recovery biz in placeRecovery was where my mind was at...

Bad guys know it they act with impunity know nothing is going to happen as no cops leftMy step sister is in the police. She says it is incredibly worrying the thought of what would happen if the general public realised how understaffed the police are. One Saturday night she was one of only 2 officers on duty for Medway and Maidstone.
Spent my life doing lot less, 432e was first one with 40kph box.with a 44 klik top speed I'd not want to road that far![]()
