See i still think there is merit in this compared to van based tipper

Everytime. I can get my 10t daf into places easier than the 3.5t iveco. I'd say same with my 18t daf but then it's getting wider and then the width becomes the issue.

I picked up a 2013 double cab transit tipper with 88k on the clock aircon heated seat for 6800 plus vat earlier this year not great for towing but got an amarok for that if needs be but id say it was cheap considering what ive seen tippers go for recently

I like the grafters but seem a bit big compared to the cabstar

Do you mean length as park them side by side and the cab on the mitsubishi cabstar is significantly bigger both inside and out. The Isuzu are really narrow the cab is far narrower than the body and the body is narrower than a transit ( you can't fit a 2m wide pedestrian barrier in a grafter body)
Some of the grafters are lwb but this doesn't effect them much as the steering lock is so much better than a transit. The only thing is the overhang on the lwb grafters mean they aren't the best at reversing trailers

10t is great 12 or 15 even better but that 7.5t is alot of hassle to carry the same as an ifor tipper
Yeah agree but looking at what you get 2019 heavier duty for a lot less than a 3.5t I wonder if its worth taking the plunge?
As you said may as well go a little bigger if you did

Hence the 10t for me, it's got a heavy body on too. Insuated tarmac body but legally gets 5.2t on.

I do agree modern 7.5t are pants but id rather just drive a wagon about than a truck or pickup with a trailer on any day
I've been using the truck last few days towing trailer. Can't transport the avant and bucket with it as won't fit on either. The iveco has been out for 3 weeks now I've not got time or inclination to do repairs, or skills to do the welding. I think next year I will look into it

I'd agree about rather driving the wagon but 7.5t are just so pointless now. Really only any good for pothole gangs that want 1.5t of tarmac a day and to be able to chute it into wheelbarrows.

This has been for sale for a long time so must be worth a deal. 6.5t carrying capacity and enough room in the cab for your sandwiches.

Is it cab mounts or cills to repair on it

Lf45 12t is sweet spot...I know someone here that'll agree too. When you jump to lf55 you lose width.

They do l45s Upto 15t or atleast they exist but not sure if uprated aftermarket. They go up another axle size and tyre size. Narrower than an lf55 but not quite as good turning circle as the smaller ones.
Just incase it interest anyone a 7.5t lf45 requires no modifications to be replaced at 8.25t. the Iveco is slightly more and I think the man run 6 stud axles all the way to 12t but not sure whether you can uprate 6.5t to 12t.

Cills i think amongst other things, brakes, wheel bearing, lights hydraulic leak (non mot) plus quite a bit more.
It's probably done less than 1k since last mot.
Again 1t carrying capacity not worth collecting material at least the trailer you can get 2.5t on

Cills aren't a bad repair. Brakes or usually the shoes for hand break.

Bearings are easy enough.

In terms of carrying capacity I'd agree but they are well cable of more just our stupid rules in UK.

LF45 go to 12t gvw, LF55 on 19.5 inch wheels upto 15t, them LF55 on 22.5 inch 18t

Quite glad that my old Iveco passed the MOT this week without the list of advisories mainly relating to upcoming Tyre replacement. Had a new clutch recently so was dreading a long list!!
Can’t beat in for tools in the pod behind the single cab. Enclosed tipper is great for hiding whatever is in the back, usually buckets and drain pipes. Can’t beat it for towing!!

Yeah the one I've driven had the bigger rims and wider axles but running on lower profile tyres than the lf55 usually have and then the narrower cab with a single step. Then double flared wheel arches. It was plated at 15t but was a bit of a dog so not sure whether it came out the factory like it.
