Depends which two. Need to think about balance, you know.Would a V8 with two holed pistons be any smoother than a 4 ?![]()

Essex school pupils seriously injured in Clavering bus crash
The mother of two children on the bus says it was "some sheer miracle" that no-one was killed.www.bbc.co.uk
~ others were being supported at school after the "traumatic experience"
In wales would have been no damage as 20 is plentyWhen I was at school, that would have raised you to hero status
I really am at a loss as to why you keep banging on about this. What point are you trying to make?couple of things.
seems to be a misunderstanding that an engine (piston, rods, crank) that can't be perfectly balanced (by adding/subtracting weight to those parts) can't be balanced using alternative technique (say balance rods).
Similarly, taking the inherently balanced 4-cyl, you have described the rather complex Phaser oil pump (a bizarre looking device).
There are many sources of vibration in an engine (eg every cam lobe). Changes in ignition timing alters how vibrations interact (at some time they will add, at others they will cancel.
My point is that the engine you drive down the road is a little more complex than the minimalist "piston, rods, crank"
