Ok so this morning we had to fuel up the machines (sany 2 ton excavator and lifton dumper) ready for the day now I really hate using a funnel and trying to hold 20 litre cans high up as usually I get covered in diesel which I hate so not long ago i purchased a inline fuel pump for a car/truck with 1/2" in out and made up a pump to do the job for me using the vehicle battery which works great and is less mess well today i had a brainwave mainly because the battery on the sany is not that easily accessible so I had to run the pump from the dumper wouldnt it be great if I can have a fuel pump with in my case a Milwaukee M18 battery on it so I can just stick it in the can and turn on I reckon I'm going to have a go at making one watch this space

Is there not a fag lighter on it or a remote plug. Be abit easier especially if you forgot the drill battery

If you really want to be living in the future buy a second pump and bolt one to each machine hardwired and plumbed in. Will reduce mess tenfold. Always amazing how disgusting portable fuel pumps get

I wired one of these to a 12v portable bowser, both multione loaders have one on the arms and I just carry it around with one.

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
I have a couple of larger transfer pumps but a faff for small quantities ...
also have a 12v Bosch fuel pump off a (IIRC Granny) ....
really moves fuel - pipe each end and a pair of leads with crock clips on, but could easily have a plug to suit whatever you fit to your machines or use ...

use these direct to battery ...
go large enough and can set up a set of jump leads to/from the batteries on board ....
can't recall the name of these, but really good plugs/sockets (y)

Anderson connectors that's the type of pump I use ATM I just thought how easy it would be to just stick it in the can and go

i have used submersible caravan water pumps they are cheap and work well just put a longer lead and a plug that fits the beacon socket at one time jcb supplied them with new 3cx machines, have also seen stick pumps like that milwaukee one used for fueling up stock cars seemed to woer ok as well.

Get yourself a wheelie bin style Bowser so much easier than drums.

Mine has a hand pump on it but I need to find a 12v one that'll fit.
It's not a problem for the duck it has a inbuilt refueling pump but it's plenty of pumping for mini diggers and dumpers.

Was not really a problem when we all ran on red as I had a drum but now I have to go get fuel from the forcourt so I need cans that go in the car as it's easier than the Bowser type don't like to keep too much white diesel about bit nickable

Another thing worth getting is no glug cans they make A LOT less mess than normal cans

😂 the 100l I have I keep in the back of the van or in the lockup on site a 3t and dumper will sup it in a little over a week it lasts the duck 2 days
