For light use the Lidl stuff is not bad and the price is great 18 quid for a spare battery

Im the buyer and tester for all the power tools at work. I love my job! We have a 60/40 split of Red and Yellow tools in the team. (60% dewalt) Most of them own the power tools and if it breaks then I replace it. No difference in cost and reliability between DW brushless kit and the Milwaukee kit. I even have a few red tools in my van as some of their stuff is superior to yellow (grease gun/hole hawg/transfer pump) but likewise some of the DW stuff is better value... and DW 54v stuff is simply the Mutts Nutts. SDS 54v is amazing and so is the 54v railsaw!

You may laugh but my father in law uses it and for putting in a few screws and drilling the odd hole it's not bad and to be fair the multitool is quite good I have used it when I left mine at home

powerstack? Not tried the red ones but the yellow ones deffo deliver more grunt , and getting more sensible on money as well now .

I'ev quite a lot of their stuff .... don't use it often enough top warrant the multi million costs of DW and MW ... TBF it's perfectly adequate/quite good, plenty of power and battery life is excellent.
first item I bought was a 40v cordless grinder and has recently died after 2 years hard work (not plugged in a corded 5" since buying it) and it has been USED ... just stopped - summat rattling around inside .. but with three year warranty, I'm not gonna break the seal to see what - it'll simply go back for a fresh one.
The Ferrex jigsaw is great, drills're fine, not used the driver yet, grinders as said are great. Got a blower/sucker unit which is excellent at enthusing the burning bin and the little compressor for tyres gets used all the time - quick, easy and fast, FP
didn't buy their little 'skill saw' as hadn't had enough 'test time' with their other gear and regret it, as hasn't been listed since the first listing.
the Ferrex recip saw is bloody brilliant.
have ummed and arghed about the multi tool .. never used one ... but were down to 19 quid last listing - interesting to hear it's good
Batteries and chargers are cheap enough and have a good use life ... recharge is quick too
whether this stuff'd stand up to day in, day out use is debate-able .. it is well put together though ... and as said my first grinder stuck two years of quite intense use .... has made my life easier for not a huge investment

For everyday use we use m18 Milwaukee stuff and love it, saws, grinders, big guns on 12ah batteries have loads of guff. Full set of Ryobi stuff too though for any roofing/reaching out of telehandler man basket/raining a lot and has to get done type job. Tbf the Ryobi gear with 5.5 or 7ah battery will do the job, just feel shite and slow. Much prefer replacing dropped Ryobi units at £50-100 a pop than the Milwaukee stuff though.

I bought a fein years ago before they were popular, never used or seen 1 in action had a job in a school where we had to chop 10mm off the side channels on a roller shutter serving hatch. Only thing I could think of using so went and bought 1.
Would never be without 1 now 1 of the most used tools, now using cordless milwaukee 1

Buy a decent brand though. I have the Lidl one and whilst I am all for Lidl and Aldi stuff the vibrations are horrendous. It is a proper white finger machine absolutely kills your hands

Absolutely agree...Fein really are so much better..tried DeWalt one a bit back absolutely crap compared.

Yup invented em. Dad got one of first into country about 30 years ago...still remember going with him to tool shop in town to get it...
