You can get a lot of work done with a 3t whilst waiting for the low loader to turn up with the 8t on site! But once you have the transport nailed as you do, there's no comparison. I fooled myself that running a 3 tonner like a 5 tonner was efficient - and on shorter duration work it is kind of... But over a week the 5 will shift more and for less effort.I understand, i have had 3t and 8t on jobs together for years , might end up in the middle like me ...3t not been out of shed since tilty went on 6t.
Out of interest what job can you do just as quickly with 3t as you can with 8t ?
You mean give it some abuse.Sad old day for me. Saying goodbye to my trusty landy which I started my business with in 2009.
Hoping the new owner gives it some loving!
How did you know it was his?You mean give it some abuse.
It'll look good with a tb175 on a trailer behind it
He spilled the beans on LinkedIn.How did you know it was his?I'm not worried he promised me he'd polish it every night.
Whistling DieselHe spilled the beans on LinkedIn.
But he didn't say he'd polish it all...just 1 square inch counts lol
terrible waste of some good firewood there DoobOne hour of mini digger work is equal to two man days on this job and in this heat. Now off for lunch whilst we let the fire burn down enough that we can stack and leave it View attachment 51076View attachment 51077View attachment 51078
The only stuff that’s any good is to the right on a stack. Everything else is rotten as a peach.terrible waste of some good firewood there Doob![]()
It’s all good cordage when you’re selling. I’ve managed to sell shuttering timber as firewood before now.The only stuff that’s any good is to the right on a stack. Everything else is rotten as a peach.

I've noticed, not jealous at allLots of my jobs are like this.
Amazing2 jobs I've been doing over summer, the first with the Case is 6ft high and stonefaced on both sides (customers don't want to fence to keep sheep in!) so was a fair old job in the end. The second I've got to go back next year and rebuild the other side.
Thanks! The gateposts took some manoeuvring mindAmazing![]()
