I heard a few HiLuxes went missing when Roadbridge went pop..Guys heard the news and went home.. (y)
I think ALOT of kit went missing - I’d seen euroauctions went on the hunt for the kit , must of been assigned the collection and dispersal of everything.

Was told as many as 20 by an ex Roadbridge subbie. Hopefully this cushioned the loss for some..

So sold my old car to guy works with me. Sent v5 off pricks sent it back to me in my name. Redid it sent off finally turned up yesterday.
Car been taxed in his name whole time since purchasing it.
Today I have a call they've clamped his car outside mine. Dvla sticker. Checked online the fuckers cancelled his tax luckily he had screenshot of it taxed this morning when checked. Phone call made to Swansea no argument they want the release fee, fine and back date tax to Jan when bought the car. Won't be released until paid they said. Said they had everything in black and white but dv were adamant they wouldn't budge.
Phone call to clampers explaining everything they said right pay us £100 as we have to have something to release it then take the ***** to the cleaners.
Re phone dvla 20 min later sorry we are not in for rest of day as on team building exercise.
Its about time we had a proper cull of all these ***** working from home and for the government and councils

Unbelievable figures if you have a look ...
I wonder if it's suddenly dawning on folk that you can't constantly take other folks money ...

Civil servants working from home! Story time.
So mid February this year I applied for a renewal passport, got a text late Feb saying passport had been sent to couriers and was on the way, time fly's by as I'm busy with work and home life. First week in April wife being very proactive getting ready for holiday in July says have I seen my passport? I hadn't seen it, thought she had it, so called HM passport office and was told it was delivered...... errr I haven't got it, so asked for proof of delivery was told it was "left in safe place, porch". At this point I said well I don't have it and an open porch isn't a safe place so you need to sort it, I'm going on holiday 1st week of July just so you know.
From then on I made no less than 30 phone calls over a month and a half to people who didn't give a flip and were sat at home ( you could hear the tv/dog/partner/child in the background ), you could never get past the first line of operators who didn't know anything and couldn't do anything because they had no direct line to management ( like they would if they were in an office) all they are there for is as cannon fodder to placate people and take the inevitable shouting at.
I was told multiple times It was up to me to chase the couriers and find out what had happened, even though I told them I can't because they are the consigner not me, I know this as it's part of my job dealing with couriers. I was then told to report it stolen and reapply and pay again.
It was at this point I had a genius moment, I said I would do that, but I would need the operators full name so I could put it on the paper work, after they gave me it, I asked to speak to someone higher up than them I was told I couldn't again, so I said not a problem by the way when I inform the police about the stolen passport, I will tell them that it was stolen by you giving their full name and where they work...... it went quite for a second and then a click and a long pause before a different voice, who informed me they were in a different dept, still firewalled though for now, but he would look into it further, it's now 2nd week of June 20 days to holiday and the wife is going mad at me telling me to just pay and reapply, but there was no way that was happening i was seriously pi$$ed off, this is not my fault.
A few days later my credit card statement comes through, idea number 2... called them, asked them to call back the payment for my passport which the guy on the phone was more than happy to do, I get a call the next day saying they are "still" looking into it further and not to rush into things, to late! A week later they called to say the passport was left on the floor in my porch.... they have a photo! So i need to see this photo, OK so they left it in an unlocked porch where? The photo is of a floor... not mine.
After 3 months and well over 30 phone calls I eventually had to pay for and get a refund "so they had a money trail", and then fetch from Peterborough my reissued passport 5 days before I flew. the stress and costs involved were huge, but they don't care!
All this could of been sorted in a few days if they had been in an office and able to talk directly to management.

Man our 11 weeks doesn't seem to bad now.

Does my nut in this country seems to full of public sector leaches who seem hell bent on screwing the country over for their own benefit...
And yet they are the first to moan when some private businessman makes a decent wedge and earns his private jet.
Hopefully this Brum cockup causes some to wakeup...sadly I guess gov will step in and bail out as usual
Wonder how long some of these folk would last in the private sector actually having to earn a living.

they couldn't and wouldn't is the simple answer.....
it's why they're where they are ...
leaching off Joe Public's purse.
the 'puter system fiasco is classic 'case in point' ...
you're quoted £19m and when it finally turns up, 3 years late, it's suddenly escalated to over £100m ....
private sector - third word'd be off ...
and then **** off again ...
no, not them they simply dip into the public purse, without batting an eye lid and hand it over ..
(wonder who/how many are involved in the Co. doing it??)
and then wonder why their budget is in crisis/****ed/bust/bankrupt 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

as said the WHOLE corrupt system needs a massive cull, starting at both ends - top/bottom and all in between .. but that'd need Gov. intervention and they're the worst of the worst 🤬😡

Also as said .... all this 'working from home' crap needs a halt putting to it ..... get in there, where at least they'll have to get up and into work for a full day's supposed input ... logging on from bed and rolling over is not acceptable - end of. Logging in from yer second home in France should be prosecutable 😡

Heard some many tales lately .
Clever lad in accounts went working for NHS during COVID thought he'd do his bit...preparing accounts etc...submitted them and load of notes on what could be improved etc etc like any decent accountant.
Was promptly told to not submit any notes or comments his job was just to prepare the accounts...so you don't want any feedback or improvements? No not your job keep your head down.
So he got out rapidly now earning a decent crust back in private sector.

Apparently there was some temporary wards built from secondhand portacabins ..
Spent 60k then got inspected after fitout and told not fit for purpose, scrapped the lot. No one looked into why ...no investigation etc just move on.

Then they wonder why public sector so fkked

went in to me local motor factors today to see 'Landy Andy' .. pick his brains .. their land rover specialist ... used to run the Aber 4x4 ctr. - AKA Bearmach's shop .. " Oh he's not in ... been working from home since Covid " ... was hard enough to get him to pull his finger out when he was sat next to the boss's desk, 5 feet away, FFS ... Said to Andy (the boss---68 and still in 6 days a week) " how do you put up with it? " -- " No choice - knows his sh1t - - take some replacing " 🤬
