Are these mussel beds?

Doing my first bit of telehandling. Couple more hours and I’ll be up to doing a cashpoint I reckon.

The handbrake is excellent. The footbrake isn’t. Normal?

Oysters I reckon going by the number of sellers in the area.

Loads of little willows to take out before we could put filter bed in (heap in background) ...happy days

Check on the dashboard as to whether it has auto clutch turned on ?? Depending on the age pressing the brake pedal should disengage the transmission. If not one of the buttons on the joystick will do it so you have to get use to hitting the button at the right time. Once you've got use to it your leg won't hurt as much.
And it allows you to rev whilst moving slowly to speed the hydraulics up.
When your a real pro you can do one foot on the brake and one on the throttle

I know the brakes on the telehandler at the farm where my yard is are so good a John Deere mechanic smashed the windscreen with his forehead!
And I'm really not joking, I saw it in the skip

John Deere side boom telehandler? Notoriously sharp brakes known for catching people out.
The pivot steers where a much nicer machine

Been a good machine for them to be fair, 02 plate, they've had it about 8 years and it's got plenty of life in it yet

like the old Citroens with a brake button on the floor ..... on or off for the uninitiated ... very light foot required

Been a good machine for them to be fair, 02 plate, they've had it about 8 years and it's got plenty of life in it yet

Surprising how many are still running. I drove an absolutely pristine one on an arable farm a few years ago. It only loaded grain lorries on a 1000 acre farm all its life. It still smelt new inside.
Also spent a lot of time loading bales with a pivot steer. Lovely machine to drive but the transmission needed an overhaul as would get very hot.
