How much will they lift to at full reach ??
I always wondered why we didn't have these when driving through France. Even more so now with the use of composite panels and lightweight materials.
And materials where delivered by a moffet or hiab there wouldn't be as much need for a telehandler anyway.
Plus it's painful watching most telehandler ops unload pallets of bricks.

The 2 we looked at on our site had roughly 1.5ton at 30 metres. One was a self erecting one like in the photo above, the other had to be built in situ more like a traditional tower crane. The problem with the self erecting one although it seems like a great idea to be able to just drive it off back of lorry and in was how much room it needs to get in when its flat.you’ve also got to consider getting it back out when theres less space because youve built the project. The self erecter also had a bigger footprint than the more traditional tower setup.

Been putting in a simple little drive in , no edges or anything, and some ducts - it's been wet and sticky going but managed to do driveway, electric ducting and stoning / building soil edge all from the one side, saved loads of time,mess and effort, lad that helps me went home, so days wage and a some time saved on the one job.

If you have the right machine to put it on, one that's going to be able to do the lions share of your work and have the reach to maximize the benefits then I'd go as far as to say if you don't have the spare coin finance it, could easily cover its payments and make life easy at the same time.

Absolute pleasure to use !

I am overdoing it a bit as you know it can be a long road from deciding to change machine to finding what you want and getting it kitted out, so for it all to come together and be better than you hoped is quite satisfying.
We have some tricky jobs in the book for next year that are going to be so much easier now !

How long does it take to wash down? I know it’s been spoken about many times , but what’s a rough cost per cube? Just we are pretty much on minimum orders of 6cube now, fine when site is in full flow, but towards the end when you don’t have random footings everywhere it’s hard to use up 3cube etc!(I refuse to pay for empty space!!)

Depends what your mixing we've found get as much out with a micro shovel then pressure wash in 10 min or less (our washer not sorted at moment so having to hose out but can't get it all off after a full day mixing) its great for full bedding of slabs we get around 4 to 5 barrows per mix

Cost wise I'd say you'd be slightly cheaper mixing with labour not huge saving but way more convenient you can mix when your ready not when you book it

Not personally. I think it's what our concrete pump guy uses. I was just looking around to see what's available, he sprays a product onto everything before he starts pumping and his kit comes up spotless at the end of the day.
There is also a thicker waxy product that the hired in powerfloats come covered in. I think it's the metal shield but not sure for certain but one of the gangs left and unwashed powerfloat for 3 days and it pressure washed off to how it arrived.

A cheap trick if you are stuck is just splash some vegetable oil over what you want to protect. It is also a very good Mould release oil for metal forms if you have nothing else. Can be found on the shelf in most shops and garages so useful if you are stuck!!
