On your own I would suspect. Although a friend just had the cambelt fail on his 2016 Transit Custom. 80,000 miles, it had the cambelt recall (essentially looking at it through the oil filler cap from what I can make out) and passed that. Ford are now supplying and fitting an engine at no cost to him. So there may be some come back. After all they have admitted there is a defect by recalling them
I remember thinking the initial letter regarding the diff check was very carefully written, by a legal expert, admitting no fault as such :ROFLMAO:

I never got to see a recall letter. Mine was in having glow plugs replaced and they informed me the recall was needed but were reluctant to answer my questions wanting to know what was going to be done to my vehicle.

Running a 2016 one.... low mileage.... comfy and pulls like a dream but get some weird faults..... the other day i put heater on above LO setting to clear mist as it was chucking it down outside.... the heat in the cab was insane, the temp wouldn't drop below max until I turned vehicle off..... also Air Con has stopped working.....
I had to have the Ad blue mapped out as that threw painful faults up relentlessly....
Also didn't use it much over winter and everytime I drove it I kept getting a hill assist warning come up where the cruise control wouldn't work but was intermittent.... since using it since spring it's not showed up anymore....
Don't ask about MPG.... unless it's Metre Per Gallon your referring too.....
Parking sensors don't work.....
Window wash outlet rubbers needed cutting with a knife as they were almost non existent.....
But dya know what I absolutely love driving it..... Fords feel like they suck to the road and feel plush and don't rattle.... solid feeling.... I wouldn't swap it for any other!

Mines at 105k still going strong, not had a lot of issues and all simple. Latest problem is the wanky ebc brakes, bastards won't stop squealing, going to have to take them off, sand them and re grease and refit then see if it stops. Annoying as the two sets of yellow stuff pads I had were excellent the new heavy duty truck pads are not only more expensive but not as good and that's before the squealing.
