Not if you are pricing work below cost!! The margin that some of these contractors try to work on is ridiculously low before they even get to make the odd mistake or ten!!
It quotes someone in the article as saying the clients are partly to blame driving down the costs. Now they have unfinished buildings they will find out the true cost of getting their job done!!
They where cheap for a reason!!

Not good at all...that means the rest will get swamped ...courier network is at capacity most of the time in UK doesn't take much for them to go sideways .😖

Particularly bad news for anyone doing long lengths as tuffys did take it so DX will get hammered now...not many others will now they only want neat boxes.

Long lengths is a concern, they were surprisingly cheap compared to getting stock cut to length 😒

They are 2mins from my yard, in the last few years they had a new purpose built depot built a few ft away.

On a receiving end they have always been better than others but you never know what's going off internally

Saw this on facebook Re: tuffnells

“Tuffnells received a circa £17m settlement earlier last week, paid it out to investors and days later appointed an administrator.
2000 people lose their jobs, and a credible parcel company is no more.
This is FRAUD, no other name, but guess what, no one will go to jail.
Venture Capitalists at their worst.”

Parcel and freight firm DX said it had reached a settlement with rival Tuffnells Parcels Express in relation to confidential competitor information.
Earlier this year, Tuffnells said it was taking legal action against DX Group in relation to alleged corporate espionage.
The claim, revealed in the Sunday Times, alleged that three DX employees conspired to obtain daily customer service reports from Tuffnells in October 2020.

  • Michael Holt: “I wanted a board that wasn’t just seeing this as Tuffnells versus DX…”
Sheffield-based Tuffnells said it was seeking damages and demanding DX account for all profits arising from its use of confidential data.
However, in a statement published by the Alternative Investment Market this week, DX said it was “pleased to announce that it has reached a full and final settlement with Tuffnells Parcels Express in relation to its claim against the company, as previously announced on 13 February 2023.
“This confidential settlement, which is without any admission of liability, brings the claim to a satisfactory conclusion for all parties. It has no impact on the company’s expectations for its financial year ending 1 July 2023 or thereafter.”
