Don’t have any experience on the new E series and the new doosan or develon as they’re called now. But a few years ago I worked my 130D and 130C cases along side an old rough doosan Dx140 lcr zero swing and the doosan ran rings around the cases in every way. Lifting,Digging and fuel consumption. With double the hours on the clock. It’s only let down was it had never got any love so it was real rough. But still a powerful old machine.

Will Devlon (Doosan) be the same now, are they not owned by Hyundai now?

I had a Doosan wide track on hire at the end of last year , I found it a bit agricultural and lazy on its feet but it did have huge tracks . I wasn’t a fan but I haven’t driven a new case to make the comparison .

Alex rented one of them on the lake job in '17 :) ( wow that's 6 years ago) ... was real nice .. apart from an annoying whistle on the boom check valve :giggle: ... smooth as, otherwise
dare say @Richard Hunton will be along to relate his (not so good) experiences with his DX140LC :cry: ...
the one that the little 6t replaced on the lake job was superb in every respect and punched way above its class (but they were 18t) .. pushed the blade real well too

I have a mate who buys Doosans new and works them in the forestry for 5000 hours before putting them off and replacing with new . He has quite a few of them and is still sticking with them must be getting on for 10 years now and the forestry work isn’t easy on them so they must be fairly robust

Thanks for all the reply I'm very disappointed in this case130 e very cheap feel cab is absolutely awful for a brand new model hydrolics very slow underpowered yes I've got a roto tilt on it yes I understand I will loose digging power yes its a sumioto so it will be reliable but its not a good machine if your coming from an old case you will love it me coming from volvo its not a patch on volvo just hope this doosan demo is better than case I've been watching ali's digger diary's service engineer for doosan on you tube they look well made stuff

If the Volvo was so well liked, why not go back there?

And here it is @V8Druid 🙈😁

Sooooo dx140lcr 5 zero swind with a blade brand fire new in Sept 17 4 pot perkins lump.

Dogged from day 1 with lack of feel in the levers and bounce in the lift rams, made worse by the wear in the boom foot.
Dealer was less than usless, blamed the tilt rotator....and there all like that 🙄

Its only just clicked over 2600hrs , been reliable otherwise , barring the frankly horrific addblue/ after treatment system, always had clean addblue in it, so far its had 4 sensors in the exhaust countless filters and finally the dealer threw the towel in and turned the add blue off.
Week later another knock sensor fault....I thought we'd turned that shite off ? "Ahhh that sensor is after the add blue system" thats another 400 notes 😬

Make that 5 sensors.

Take tilty off and it will dig for fun, its quick, and the fuel burn isnt terrible. It will never be a premium brand but for what it is and what it does its ok for me.

I went to look at a new dash 7 direct replacement for mine. Key fob to get in no key..how much are the fobs? Erm not sure need to check! Turns out their 500 quid a pop.

Opened the front screen and took the headlining out the cab with it, then it wouldnt start, so I couldnt try it. Needless to say I walked away from that deal as a complete none starter (literally)

If I was going to buy anything , it would be a Hydrema but thats a story for another day.

Just my 2 pence worth.

I loved the one Alex rented and he really rated it too .. as said .. was some digging machine .... I probably had about 16 hrs in it, self loading when Alex was busy, with the client and several stints at levelling out all the spoil tips, for a few hrs at a time. But for Richards experiences and based on my short use I'd have one in a heart beat .... after a few hrs test to make sure it didn't have Richard's issues.
Alex could make it sing, fair play ..... and would it ever dig

Can’t say I have used a 14t class doosan but 6-8t class. Loads of power, questionable quality, extremely questionable to grade with it’s not that you can’t it’s more you have to “learn” to grade with them rather than it working naturally.
Not a fan you wouldn’t buy one if you were driving it yourself. There cheaper for a reason but I personally don’t think there enough cheaper…
