Job I’m involved in has 13 water connections to put to various barns and houses.12 metre boxes and one pipe not on a metre,anyway had a look today and what a mess.all at differant levels,not in any order or inline.i expect when the grass has grown over the hedge cutter boys will destroy all the high lids.all installed by Anglian water.never seen such a cock up and poor job in my life.what do you think

Surprised they have put meters in the verge, normally they are all in the actual property now. Wouldn’t be any boxes at all on the verge then!

Here welsh water dont want meters or stop cocks on the property ,all in the road ,

Meters at road side now so lessen the chance of them having to fix issues on your property costing them money, my dads "neighbours" are 1/2km from the road but Anglian Water said the meter ( funnily enough where their responsibility then ends ) had to be on the road side.

It also means that in areas where there is low water pressure the suppler only needs to supply 1 bar at the point there responsibility ends so if the property is at the top of a steep drive they have no obligation to increase pressure.
