I got this tilting bucket adapted to go on the kubota.
The hangers and pin centres have been changed .
I never really liked the bucket when I had it on my old H26B Hanix but I put that down to the fact it wasn’t prop controlled and it jerked violently when you tilted it back and fore . I haven’t piped it yet so I can’t try it tilting but something doesn’t look right about the geometry off it . Gary who does the buckets said he’d improved it a bit pulling the hangers further forward but it looks a bit odd to me. What do you think ?

Looks like it will crowd enough to gouge the dipper but not open very far 😕
It closes up a long way but not enough to hit the dipper . When I open it out it’s fine at full reach but does seem a bit closed when it’s in nearer . Maybe need to lower the back pin a bit more . Does the build up look big where it tilts ?

Headstock angle looks wrong to me, bucket angle doesn't look to match hitch so bucket looks closed, like doobin says build height a bit horrendous but will do a job,i've used a tilt bucket for 7years and pipes are a pita ...but the fact I've put up with it for 7 years and not used my standard ditcher speaks volumes.

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
Could I reduce the height above the pivot pin ?
you're at risk of clouting the ram's pipe coupling - could notch the head plate a bit and certainly trim its width too, but likely to lose some tilt angle

I see what you mean , the back pin should be much lower down . That’s doable but I’d also like to reduce the build height where I can as well

looking at the other bucket in the background in 1st pic., the pins are about the same on that too .. lower pin IIRC is 'sposed to be about on an angle of circa 15 degs through pin ctrs, with the bottom of bucket, horizontal ... what makes it look so odd is the overall build height and with that design there ain't a lot you can do about it really

John was up at Angus’s yard today . He renewed the hydraulic oil and fittted the grab that I had bought on here from Alex ( cheers Alex) it fits on the machine perfectly thanks to some Druid fabricating ! Cheers Buddy .
I haven’t been able to get up yet but John took a video and a couple pics . I will get some more pics as soon as I can get up too it .

No . It’s a 2007 unit that was piped direct 4 pipe system through the machine . I’m happy enough with it going 180 one way and the other . (I think🧐)
I can’t seem to load the video . Is there a knack ?

upload to you tube and then post a link here -- files are too big to load directly :(
