I've tried the track dumper on jobs over the years and we simply don't get the productivity out of it.
I'm not the only one, I cannot think any of my regular customers have them either.
2 years ago one builder customer had one on hire. After the 1st hour or so it was parked up and they borrowed it out.

I still can't see it myself, I can turn up with 1 trailer, digger, tracked dumper, no other labour and happily do a couple of grab lorries out a day, comfortably.
But you know what works for you

What’s a bloke on a barrow cost per day? Now double it for two of them.
What’s a track dumper cost to hire per day? Plus a bloke? And then you move 50% more (6 buckets, even though I can’t believe you’re moving two heaped 600s in barrows all day long) per trip as two with barrows flogging their guts out.
I could never make it pay with barrowing. Especially when it comes to stacking it up high on the road for the grab.

That's the point, we aren't flogging our guts out.
Cost is irrelevant as when it's full time staff you'd be paying one to watch and generally when your moving muck there's little else to do.
A track barrow squeezing down the side of a house is slow, lots more chance of catching a wall, down pipe ect ect. Especially if youve in and out 25times or more.
Barrows are quick and efficient for us. And let's face it, you only use a track barrow when you've got tight access, otherwise you'd bring a 1t dumper in.
As I've said already I've tried it serval times over the last 17 years and it's never worked out better doing what we do.
I could also shock you further and say it has been known for us to leave the digger on the trailer and hand dig some jobs we've gone to, but that's for another thread I suppose

The digger driver is paid in both. It was said 1 digger driver and a track dumper did 2 skips. We do 20t more digger driver and 2 lads. So the difference between both situations is 2 wages for 20t more

After spending my school holidays barrowing for a local landscaper for beer money I've a pure hatred of barrows
anything with an engine gets my vote.

I personally hate seeing any of my lads hand digging or barrowing, I’ve wasted enough time before we had plenty of machinery doing things the old hard way, I’m fooked if I’m paying someone else to do it that way whilst the machines are parked up. Lads are happy to work 7 days 12hrs/day when needed but I think that’d soon change if the toys went away.

I can do a damn site more than two skips in a day on my one. All depends upon the drag, granted.

Is the rear step worth getting? Not seen many jcb’s with the step?Greenshields, I bought both from them good after sales support if needed (had a hose go under warranty and was done within 24hrs)

Yes that's my point however badly I made it.
One man digs and moves 20t a day for £200 in wages.
Or three men dig and move 40t a day for £600 in wages.
If you've got the room for spoil and you're in a hurry I suspect one digger driver, one dumper driver and two dumpers would really shift some muck.

Affirmative. This is how I tend to run.
Basically even a muck truck holds three times as much as a barrow and takes no effort.
