how to remove and repair the central pin of the joint of an articulated front loader of a wheel loader
hi, if I may, how should one operate to remove and restore the central pivot of the joint of an articulated wheel loader, the one that divides and unites the rear end of the loader into two parts with the front end and is the hinge between the two parts during maneuvers and makes the machine unique? all the machinery should be disassembled and the two parts of the frame shored up or it can be done more simply. you need an overhead crane a large jack of shims or temporary props, you need to insert bushings and weld the part, bore it, make it converge and put the pin bushing housings in line, how to make the supports coaxial. thanks, sorry for the inconvenience.

It’s what I do!
They can be ok to do, level ground, chock the rear wheels and axle stand both front and back of the rear half, leaving the steering ram connected, knock the pin/s out, using chocks and the steering you can split the loader enough to get the pin out and re bush, do the same in reverse, have done a couple of JCB’s they both went well!

Could you not use a set of tractor splitting rails??

How you should do it and how you can do it are rather different animals, it's a bonus if you get to do it while there is still a choice 🙂
A cheeky little pin change without having to take off drive shafts and hoses is good 😊

I have to use crane or forklift extractors in this phase could you attach a video or some photos thanks.

wooden logs to be placed as shims to temporarily support the machinery.

Forgot to mention the propshaft, on the jobs I did they had a sliding joint hat would split and only the brake hose needed to be disconnected and capped.
