Has anyone priced new 1.5 -1.8 ton machines recently (mainstream manufacturers)?

Looking at a few low houred 2-5 year old machines to buy as opposed to hiring in and just wondering how the advertised prices compare to new ones?

Cab I presume? I’ve always found cat too expensive to bother with personally, but the latest gen with standard air con look good
Yes, I think it was around £500 less if you wanted a 301.7 canopy

But the 301.7/8 has more umph than the 301.5 and 301.6.

I think it was around 1k more if I wanted a 301.8 cab

New cat 301.6 is around 23k plus vat
Thanks, the used one's i've seen (volvo) are perhaps better value than i initially thought then. Will hopefully hold their value reasonably well as new prices keep rising.

I reckon new prices will stagnate for a while - we’ve had a few years of cheap money fuelling demand which has in turn outstripped supply. Dealers now have stock sitting in their yards and are getting hungrier for sales.
Second hand prices will also fall IMO.

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
same can't be said of vehicles, on the whole ... when I bought that Sportage, if I'd wanted a new one, was a 7 month wait .... anyone know what the rest of 'em are like .... artificially created delays to keep prices up there ????

All I can comment on is Land Rover, genuine wait list times, the dealer I use can barely process the new vehicles they have coming in, abit of a crazy town place when you visit!
Used prices have dropped for sure, new haven’t Dropped yet, doubt they will.

artificially created by keeping production levels choked ....... never used to be the case, you could always 'find' a new vehicle if you wanted one in a hurry !!
