97 Liebherr 900 duck electrical issue

My mate has a liebherr 900 litronic . It’s a 97 machine and he has had a circuit board burn out .
Looks like advice at the moment is to scrap the machine .
I thought I’d fire it up on here in case anyone had any other ideas on how he might get a solution . Seems a real shame to scrap it over a circuit board

that looks a can of worms .....
see it has a serial port, so full house computerised jobby .....
that said ...
ultimately this is a mechanical machine, simply controlled by overly sophisticated crap ....
once upon a time all that was controlled by good old toggle switches and relays ..
enough time and it could be again
total bar steward having to write off a perfectly good tool because of that mess .............................

trouble is ...... God knows what else it has taken with it .. 's a proper meltdown that

Some of that guys are good at repairs though, they don't need to know how the machine works they just replace components like for like. As long as it's not the brain of the thing that's gone
We've used Nicontrols in the past to get old circuits repaired

We've used Nicontrols in the past to get old circuits repaired

looking at the chip count on that board, your mate may well have a serious problem

He said that all the upper structure works and that it’s the drive that he’s lost .
I’m no sparky but I would of thought if that board was alienated from power source and upperstructure still worked that getting a heath robinson set up to give him drive might not be the worst in the world to do ?

There was someone regularly recommended on the farming forum that repaired all manner of circuit boards for tractors, sprayers, seed drills and the like and never seemed that expensive so may be worth looking to repair it

have you seen the pic above ....... 's gonna need a new board BTL,s
TBH for what that m/c is worth, if it's not a front line-er I'd spend a couple of weeks rewiring it ..... at the end of the day, as I said above, it's all mechanical at the end of the wires

On my old liebherr there was some electrics that passed through the turning joint for high and low drive . That would be easy enough to hack . Then a wiring diagram to see how the drive is wired would be a start

that'll almost certainly be the same ...basically they've gone all 'hi tec' with a canbus set up to do the job of a line of switches and relays ..... if everything's hunky dory 'upstairs', he should be able to replace the canbus control for the tranny on a separate set up ... aside from any weighing system, it's the hardest part to get right though

Unless there is a voltage drop in the board the switches and relays could do it!
