I carry loads of test bungs and bung the runs and fill with water if I know it will rain.

To be honest this one caught me out, it’s well upstream with plenty of run off in the lower trench but it must have come down really bad last night for it to fill it up! All replaced with a 150mm… and back filled, BCO can find a shovel if he wants a closer look at anything

Now that is a great idea while yer waiting for BC to sign off

Other advantage of leaving upstands exposed for an extended period is you can see if one suddenly has no water in it you know someone's kicked it and likely stood it back upright without properly checking it.
Usually steel fixers on slabs are good at this

last time I was in Hindhead (circa '79) the tunnels hadn't even been thought of
G/f in college's parents lived off Tower road and used to get up that way fairly regularly.

Another day of micro-muck shifting and keyhole engineering. We took down a cordeline and this is the root, a single tap root that went straight down nearly 4 feet, and was a sod to get out.

Second and third pictures are my home made half-hitch awaiting paint, then fitted to the Kubota. Can’t believe they cost nearly £400 for five pieces of plate, a bit of profiling and just over a meter of weld. Mind you, it remains to be seen how well it holds up.

THAT is some root .... didn't realise they were a tap root .... explains why ours stands up to the wind here so well

Yeh that one was pretty close but where engineers designed it.

I slipped up. Should have painted it orange and bragged about Cambridgeshire carrots.

I think because its a attenuation tank not a soakaway thats why they can design it closer.

Yeah plenty of room is the way to go!, there is a armoured elec in the bottom of the long run and another 110mm foul to go ontop….

But just had a wonder around this morning and the rain must have been bad last night as it’s floated the pipe so back to square one today

I got caught like that. Lesson learned the hard way and now I cap pipe at outlet and fill with water in case of such problems.
