Manitou 627 boom/steering isue?

Hi, manitou 627 issue with boom and steering not working in the morning!
On cold startup boom and steering fails to operate unless you hold the engine rpm about 2k for 30/50 seconds!
Functions seems to wake up and work fine for the rest of the day!
Oil/filters all good, no unusual sounds before, after or during the faut conditions!

Priority valve! The old 12 m tele handlers were favourite for it, they used to be in the centre of the forklift on the back of the pump! Send photos I may be able to point it out for you

My tractor case cx 90 dose this. The steering is really stiff on start up this weather you can't steer it until it's been running 10+ minutes. My mate mentioned a priority valve

Es you can strip and clean it, it also points at needing a hydraulic oil change! When/ if you strip the valve it will be a gold or brown colour, the oil is waxing when cold.

My jcb telehandler did this a while ago, only once or twice fine before and since.

But what it does do more often is the dash doesn’t load up, keeps turning on and off with all the startup buzzers going haywire! Abit like the dash computer doesn’t register that it’s switched on - But all machine functions work perfectly still?! But hold the revs past a certain point for awhile and it’s all fine! Surely that can’t be a valve as well?

don't like the cold Dyl. ... oil's thick and doesn't want to flow through the orifices (or the pick up strainer) let it get warm

Jcb differ animal! The dash panel has an ecu in it! If ever the indicator o/s stops flashing or flashes faster than the n/s it’s the ecu in the dash, only the o/s Indicators use that ecu!

Where would the strainer be. Can you clean the priority valve

This is what mine does randomly , engine runs fine etc, what you can hear is the heaters kicking in and out

Yes you can clean it with thinners!

Turn the heater off when you start, see if it makes a difference!

Will do, it’s had a new heater resistor , which stopped you adjusting the electronic fan speed. But it didn’t coincide with this issue.

The priority valve! Got to get me a pic first see if it’s a similar set up

Not sure if this is it mick. The power steering pump i believe. This is where the noise comes from when cold

Think the large red pipe goes to yhe back end. Pretty sure it's the feed
