A mate has one coming - he had a demo of a chap’s who had swapped (with no regrets) from a Kubota.

That’s the most recent for uk . It says tier 5 but doesn’t mention passive regeneration .
I might of seen it on a USA spec . I will try and see where I found it

Is that the one which was £34k if so perhaps not so bad if it comes with twin aux lines and all the other bits you've mentioned it's a nice looking machine I must say. My only concern with the new red, is red doesn't always seem to age well in the sun and could end up more pink like! A minor point thought in reality.

There's a plant company near me who run their whole fleet on Yanmars. Think they have about 50 of them- they swear by them for realiabilty and we're saying they keep them on the fleet untill 5000hrs with very few problems.

34.5 same as kobelco but 10.5 against my volvo

According to the spec it has passive regeneration !

Yanmar was a real popular machine around here mid 2000's, local dealer helped i guess. Died out abit but have made a come back again lately, always were a decent machine

@doobin didn't you have one on hire alongside your Bobcat. Think you said you preferred the Bobcat, why was that?

I had a quick go on one with a post knocker on the same job that my E27 was on with a grab. The other op had a play with the E27 and grab and said he preferred it- only an op not the owner though.

From what I can remember-

Whiny hydraulics/engine
Very hard seat
Plasticy feeling cabin
Didn't like to track and move arms at same time
Awful offset one way

Looks very smart however and physically appears slightly bigger than the E27. It wasn't a particularly great test as it only had a badly mounted (in my opinion) post knocker on it. I'd love to try one with buckets.

What I can tell you is that the contractor paid much less for it (maybe three months ago) than figures being quoted here. Around £29k if memory serves. They did however chop in a nearly new ZTS yanmar 2.6 that they just couldn't get on with. Also, it wasn't that long ago (maybe a year) that people on FB were telling of buying the SV26 at around £25k!!

Yanmar are very popular in hire fleets round here ...in 2.5t the offset would prob stop me buying it tbh but would need a demo in one to see just how bad in reality it is.
Yellow âgés better too.

Me too jim , he’s rough and ready but I prefer that to a shark in a suit

The sv26 swings 45 degrees left and 75 to the right. I’m going to try it out to see if that is an issue for me or not . I tried my Volvo this morning and it is offsets more one way than the other but I’d say more than 45 degrees

Seems like most swing further left ...think its about working offset parallel to the tracks looking through the door and not having too much arse overhang the track

How much ofset you need will also depend on how far from the centre of the slew the kingpost is fitted and how far ofset from centre the boom is

All I know is if it wasn't for the offset I'd probably have one too. The one on hire I remember cursing the lack of full offset to the left. Really ruined it for me.

I think JCB8026 and the SV26 are the only two that don't have more or less full offset to the left..
